About Mark Grosse Real Estate

In the beginning...

Mark Grosse came to the sweet island of Port Aransas. It was 1972 when he first started selling Port Aransas Real Estate as an agent for Ed Tarrant. Mr. Tarrant had been selling and developing property in Port Aransas since the 1930s. For most of that time he was the only full-time broker on the island. 

Grosse absorbed a wealth of knowledge about the island and in 1973, Grosse became a broker and opened his own business at 611 South Station Street. 

In 1975 he moved the business to 210 North Alister. He shared the small one-room building, that had no air conditioning and no bathroom, with Buddy Harris. Mr. Harris had been a Port Aransas real estate broker for many years.

Through time...

After spending many years at 211 West Cotter, Grosse Real Estate moved to a new, bigger and better building at 155 West Cotter in the Summer of 2009. 

Through good markets and not-so-good markets, Grosse has continued "selling Port Aransas" for more than four decades. 

There have been periods of time when Mark Grosse was the only full-time broker in Port Aransas. He has seen new offices open and has watched many of them close. In a number of cases, Grosse has sold the same property five different times over his 40 years of marketing Port Aransas properties.
